New version of EHPS launched

EHPS New Home Page with Drupal 7 (Gerben Zaagsma)

The 9 May 2012,  anniversary of the 1950 Schuman Declaration which started the construction of a united Europe, the Department of History and Civilization and the Library at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy, launched the new version of the European History Primary Sources portal (EHPS).

EHPS was designed and built by Gerben Zaagsma (Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts & Sciences, Huygens Institute for the History of the Netherlands, The Hague). The new version has been completely redesigned and features improved search functionalities and navigation.

Filtered search for primary sources will now make it easier to narrow down results. It is also possible to create saved searches and receive updates by email in addition to the existing RSS feeds. Moreover, the transition to our new CMS, Drupal 7, will allow us to continue to improve the website and make it much easier to roll out new functionality in the future.

Please don’t hesitate to send us your feedback about the new design and functionality!

Serge Noiret,
EHPS Coordinator
